A Tanker was approached by 1 skiff whilst underway approximately 94nm south of Brass, Nigeria. The skiff, which had 5 armed men on board, approached to within 50m of the Tanker's starboard side. The Master carried out evasive manoeuvres and the approach was aborted.

A robber managed to board an anchored cargo vessel at Takoradi anchorage, Ghana. The Duty Officer noticed the robber on the forecastle and raised the alarm. The crew mustered and upon seeing the alerted crew the robber escaped in a boat with ships properties.
