A Cargo vessel was attacked whilst underway 17nm Southwest of Brass, Nigeria. A number of pirates were able to board the vessel. 8 crew members have been kidnapped.

(2) Incident Type : PIRATE ATTACK |  Vessel Type: TANKER      
0337 UTC | 15 December | Posn: 02-00.00N 004-33.00E | Nigeria

A Tanker was boarded whilst underway approximately 175nm southwest of Brass, Nigeria. The crew retreated to the Citadel. Pirates disembarked the Tanker and all crew members are accounted for.

(3) Incident Type : ROBBERY |  Vessel Type: BULK CARRIER      
2100 UTC | 14 December | Posn: 01-44.67N 101-22.59E | Indonesia

A robbery occurred on a bulk carrier whilst berthed at Lubuk Gaung Port, Dumai, Indonesia. 4 robbers armed with knives were able to board the bulk carrier and restrain the Duty Officer. The perpetrators then proceeded to steal spare parts and items of ship's stores. Before making their escape, the robbers released the Duty Officer.

(4) Incident Type : ROBBERY |  Vessel Type: TUG BOAT
1250 UTC | 12 December | Posn: 21-48.80N 091-42.50E | Bangladesh

A robbery occurred on a tug boat dead towing a bulk carrier, 8nm West of Kutubdia, Bangladesh. 10 robbers in 2 small boats and armed with knives, approached and boarded the tug from the starboard side. The robbers were able to steal hoses and 2 drums of hydraulic oil before escaping.
