SHIELD INTERNATIONAL SECURITY

(1) Incident Type : PIRATE ATTACK |  Vessel Type: TANKER      
2003 UTC | 17 October | Posn: 04-08.58N 001-24.00E | Togo

A tanker was boarded by a number of pirates on speed boats approximately 116nm south of Lome. All of the crew managed to muster in the citadel, and nobody has been injured.

(2) Incident Type : PIRATE ATTACK |  Vessel Type: TANKER      
0454 UTC | 17 October | Posn: 03-47.00N 008-41.08E | Equatorial Guinea

Tanker was been boarded by pirates whilst berthed at Malabo Island LNG Terminal. The pirates have disembarked the Tanker, 1 crew member is unaccounted for whilst the remaining crew are in the Citadel. It has been confirmed that the missing crew member has been kidnapped.

(3) Incident Type : ROBBERY |  Vessel Type: BULK CARRIER      
2340 UTC | 15 October | Posn: 09-22.50N 013-44.30W | Guinea

A robbery occurred on a bulk carrier whilst anchored at Conakry Anchorage. A number of robbers armed with knives and guns were able to board the vessel and steal items of ship's property before escaping. The incident has been reported to the Guinean authorities.

(4) Incident Type : SUSPICIOUS APPROACH |  Vessel Type: TANKER      
0430 UTC | 15 October | Posn: 09-16.00N 013-46.00W | Guinea

A tanker was approached whilst anchored 20nm off Conakry, Guinea. A fishing boat with 4 armed persons onboard, approached the tanker and came to within 1nm. The Guinean Naval armed guards onboard fired
warning shots which resulted in the fishing vessel aborting the approach. The vessel and crew are reported as safe.

(5) Incident Type : ROBBERY |  Vessel Type: BULK CARRIER      
1640 UTC | 14 October | Posn: 01-17.40N 104-20.00E | Singapore Strait

A robbery has occurred on a bulk carrier whilst underway in the Eastbound lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme, Singapore Strait. The Master of the vessel informed the Port Operations Control Centre via VHF, that 3 robbers had boarded the vessel. A full search of the vessel was conducted by the crew which confirmed that the robbers had escaped with a lifebuoy and several welding rods.

(6) Incident Type : ATTEMPTED ROBBERY |  Vessel Type: CHEMICAL TANKER      
1530 UTC | 13 October | Posn: 01-16.55N 104-15.06E | Singapore Strait

Robbers were able to board a chemical tanker whilst underway in the Eastbound lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme. The Master reported to the Port Operations Control Centre that three robbers had been
spotted onboard. A full search was conducted by the crew which confirmed the perpetrators were no longer onboard and that nothing had been stolen.

(7) Incident Type : ATTEMPTED ROBBERY |  Vessel Type: BULK CARRIER      
1626 UTC | 10 October | Posn: 01-16.24N 104-13.92E | Singapore Strait

An attempted robbery occurred on a bulk carrier whilst underway in the Eastbound lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme. The Master of the bulk carrier reported to the Port Operations Control Centre via channel 10 that robbers had been able to board the vessel. The crew conducted a full search of the vessel, however the robbers were not located and nothing was reported stolen.
