A tanker was approached whilst underway, 72nm Southeast of Takoradi. 1 skiff with 8 persons onboard, came to within 0.5nm of the tanker and a ladder was sighted onboard. The Master carried out all antipiracy measures which resulted in the skiff aborting its approach. The vessel and crew are reported as safe.
