(1) Incident Type : PIRATE ATTACK | Vessel Type : CARGO VESSEL
2220 UTC | 02 July | Posn: 03-49.03N 002-25.00E | Gulf of Guinea

A Cargo vessel has been attacked approximately 150nm south of Cotonou, Benin. Heavily armed pirates onboard 1 speedboat managed to board the vessel. Initial reports are stating that 5 crew members are missing. They are all Chinese nationality and they include the Captain and Chief Engineer. The speedboat has departed the scene.

(2) Incident Type : PIRATE ATTACK | Vessel Type : FPSO
UNKNOWN UTC | 02 July | Posn: 03-51.01N 006-58.08E | Nigeria

An FPSO has been attacked approximately 33nm South southwest of Bonny. 9 crew members have been kidnapped, all nine are of Nigerian nationality.

(3) Incident Type : ROBBERY | Vessel Type : BULK CARRIER
1640 UTC | 01 July | Posn: 01-16.88N 104-19.01E | Singapore Strait

A robbery occurred on a Bulk Carrier whilst underway in the eastbound lane of the Singapore Strait, approximately 27nm east of Singapore. As the robbers were spotted onboard the ship's alarm was raised, which resulted in the robbers escaping. An investigation was carried out which concluded that 4 boxes of spare parts were stolen.

(4) Incident Type : GENERAL ALERT | Vessel Type : NOT APPLICABLE
1015 UTC | 01 July | Posn: 04-42.00N 119-00.00E | Malaysia

Philippines Intel has issued warnings that five members of the Abu Sayef Group were seen in Barangay Sipangkot, Sitangkai, Tawi Tawi onboard a speedboat. The speedboat was described as white with yellow and orange strips powered by a 250HP Yamaha engine. The Group are planning to conduct kidnapping activities in the Sabah and Semporna areas with foreigners and seafarers being their main focus.

(5) Incident Type : ROBBERY | Vessel Type : BULK CARRIER
2115 UTC | 30 June | Posn: 14-23.20S 040-41.90E | Mozambique

A robbery occurred on an anchored bulk carrier at Nacala Anchorage. The theft was discovered when duty crew on routine rounds spotted a mooring line had been cut and was missing. The alarm was raised and a full search was conducted, however the robbers had escaped unnoticed. The incident was reported to Port Control and a patrol boat was dispatched to the area.

(6) Incident Type : ATTEMPTED ROBBERY | Vessel Type : BULK CARRIER
1911 UTC | 27 June | Posn: 01-16.55N 104-13.83E | Singapore Strait

An attempted robbery occurred on a Bulk Carrier whilst underway in the eastbound lane of the Singapore Strait approximately 22nm east of Singapore. 4 robbers were spotted in the Engine Workshop by the Engineers, the robbers ran out on to the deck via the Emergency Steering Room and then jumped overboard. Following an investigation, it was concluded that the robbers managed to board the vessel from the stern using a rope and hook, no items were stolen during this incident.
