(1) Incident Type : PIRATE ATTACK | Vessel Type : FISHING VESSEL
1430 UTC | 24 June | Posn: 05-21.00N 002-37.00E | Gulf of Guinea

A fishing vessel has been attacked whilst underway approximately 60nm south of Cotonou. 1 speedboat with armed pirates onboard approached the fishing vessel, once alongside the pirates managed to board and then kidnap 6 crew members. The pirates departed the scene in an easterly direction. The nationality of the crew is 5 Korean and 1 Ghanaian.

(2) Incident Type : ATTEMPTED ROBBERY | Vessel Type : CONTAINER VESSEL
1925 UTC | 12 June | Posn: 14-35.78N 120-51.58E | Philippines

Robbers were able to board a container vessel and escape unnoticed at Manila Anchorage, Philippines. As the vessel was heaving the anchor, a duty crew member spotted a set of bolt cutters near the Bosun store
and that a padlock had been broken. A search was conducted which confirmed nothing had been stolen.
