(1) Incident Type : PIRATE ATTACK | Vessel Type : CARGO VESSEL
1554 UTC | 20 May | Posn: 02-14.09N 005-05.06E | Nigeria

Cargo vessel attacked approximately 139nm southwest of Brass, Nigeria. Pirates boarded the vessel.

(2) Incident Type : SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY | Vessel Type : TANKER
0430 UTC | 20 May | Posn: 14-24.00N 042-11.00E | Southern Red Sea

2 small high-speed skiffs were sighted approximately 48nm southwest of Hodeidah port, Yemen. A Tanker was heading north through the southern Red Sea when the 2 small high-speed skiffs were spotted off the starboard bow. The skiffs changed their course to directly towards the Tanker. The Tanker changed her course by 25° to port and increased speed. The skiffs closest point of approach was within 0.5nm, up to 7 persons were spotted onboard each boat carrying objects, possibly weapons, and black flags with
white Arabic letters were hoisted. The skiffs passed the Tanker's starboard side and continued clear of the vessel stern. No attempt to board or chase the Tanker was made.

(3) Incident Type : ROBBERY | Vessel Type : BARGE
1315 UTC | 18 May | Posn: 01-13.03N 104-06.05E | Singapore Straits

A robbery has occurred on a barge whilst being towed in the Singapore Straits. 6 robbers armed with machetes managed to board the barge and threatened 3 crew members. One of the crew was taken
hostage whilst the other 2 crew managed to escape and raise the alarm. Upon hearing the alarm, the robbers escaped having stolen the crew's mobile phones. The authorities were informed and boarded the vessel for investigation.
