(1) Incident Type : GENERAL ALERT | Vessel Type : NOT APPLICABLE
1630UTC | 30 March | Posn: 04-45.00N 119-00.00E | Felda Sahabat, Malaysia

Malaysian intelligence reported that the Sulu based Abu Sayef Group are planning to conduct kidnappings
in Sabah. The target area is believed to be around Felda Sahabat however seafarers and vessels are also stated to be at risk. The group were spotted in Maimbung, Sulu on 30/03/2020 using 1 yellow and red speedboat heading to Bulu Bulu, Sitangkai Island.

(2) Incident Type : PIRATE ATTACK | Vessel Type : CARGO VESSEL
1700 UTC | 27 March | Posn: 02-45.00N 006-55.00E | Nigeria

A cargo vessel was approached whilst underway 98nm south of Bonny Island, Nigeria. The approach was carried out by 10 pirates onboard 1 speedboat. the pirates were armed with AK-47 rifles and opened fire on the vessel. The cargo vessel's Armed Guards responded to the approach resulting in the pirates aborting their approach.

(3) Incident Type : GENERAL ALERT | Vessel Type : TANKER
1226 UTC | 27 March | Posn: 26-11.00N 054-31.00E | Straits of Hormuz

A tanker was approached in the Straits of Hormuz. The tanker was approached by 2 skiffs with a up to 6 persons onboard and had a ladder raised. The tanker carried out evasive manoeuvres and is now reported
safe.

(4) Incident Type : ROBBERY | Vessel Type : TANKER
0230 UTC | 27 March | Posn: 09-20.27N 013-43.20W | Conakry roads anchorage, Guinea

A robbery occurred on an anchored tanker at Conakry roads anchorage, Guinea. 10 robbers boarded the vessel armed with 2 weapons and a number of machetes. They stole cash, electronic devices and crew properties before escaping. 1 crew member was injured during the incident.

(5) Incident Type : SUSPICIOUS APPROACH | Vessel Type : TANKER
0820 UTC | 26 March | Posn: 05-59.80N 002-21.20E | Benin

A tanker was approached whilst underway, 21nm South-southwest of Cotonou. A speedboat with up to 5 persons onboard approached the tanker and came to within 0.2nm. No weapons were seen, however
hooks were sighted on the suspicious speedboat. The crew were ordered to retreat to the citadel, the tanker then increased speed and undertook evasive manoeuvres. After thirty minutes the speedboat aborted its pursuit. Both the vessel and crew are reported safe.

(6) Incident Type : ROBBERY | Vessel Type : BARGE
1450 UTC | 25 March | Posn: 21-24.10N 072-20.20E | Alang anchorage, India

A jack up barge being towed by a tugboat for dismantling, was boarded by robbers at Alang anchorage. 4 robbers, carrying torches boarded the barge from a small boat. The Master of the tugboat spotted the torch lights and the alarm was raised, resulting in the robbers escaping. The local Vessel Traffic Information Service were informed, who in turn reported the incident to the Indian Coast Guard. Local marine Police were then requested to send their vessels to the incident location by the Coast Guard station at Pipavav. The details and quantity of items that were stolen is still being assessed and investigations by the police and local agents are ongoing.

The robbers have been arrested and the stolen items have been recovered.

(7) Incident Type : ATTEMPTED ROBBERY | Vessel Type : TANKER
1855 UTC | 22 March | Posn: 13-45.07N 121-02.12E | Batangas Port, Philippines

The duty crewman on board an anchored tanker at Batangas Port, Philippines discovered a robber armed with a long knife near the forecastle, The duty crewman informed the Duty Officer resulting in the alarm
being raised and the crew mustering. Upon seeing the alerted crew, the robber escaped empty handed.
