(1) Incident Type : SUSPICIOUS APPROACH | Vessel Type : CARGO VESSEL
0806 UTC | 01 March | Posn: 24-43.07N 057-38.54E | Gulf of Oman

A vessel has been approached by 2 skiffs whilst underway, approximately 70nm Southeast of Fujairah. The skiffs are reported to have approached and circled the vessel. A coalition warship that was in the vicinity,
approached the vessel and the skiffs departed. The vessel and its crew are safe.

(2) Incident Type : ATTEMPTED ROBBERY | Vessel Type : BULK CARRIER
1645 UTC | 27 February | Posn: 01-08.63N 103-28.68E | Malaysia

Robbers were able to board a bulk carrier whilst underway, 8nm South-southwest of Tanjung Piai. 4 robbers had managed to board the bulk carrier. As it had not been established if the perpetrators were armed or had left the vessel, the Master proceeded to the Eastern Bunkering Anchorage for assistance from the Singapore Police Coast Guard. A full search was completed which confirmed the robbers had escaped empty handed. The vessel and crew are reported safe.

(3) Incident Type : SUSPICIOUS APPROACH | Vessel Type : CHEMICAL TANKER
0824 UTC | 27 February | Posn: 08-10.04S 012-41.06E | Angola

An underway chemical tanker was suspiciously approached approximately 50nm from Luanda, Angola by a white skiff with 8 possible pirates and ladders onboard. As the skiff made its approach the vessel began evasive manoeuvres and increased her speed, this resulted in the skiff aborting its approach.

(4) Incident Type : ROBBERY | Vessel Type : TANKER
0001 UTC | 20 February | Posn: 17-03.70N 082-24.80E | Kakinada Anchorage, India

A robbery occurred on an anchored tanker within Kakinada Anchorage. A number of robbers boarded the tanker and stole 8 paint pots and 2 mooring ropes. The Master reported the incident to local agents
and the Indian Coast Guard (ICG).

(5) Incident Type : ATTEMPTED ROBBERY | Vessel Type : TANKER
0150 UTC | 19 February | Posn: 20-36.04N 070-03.96E | India

Robbers were able to board a tanker under tow from a tug, 25nm Southwest of Veraval. 9 persons in a fishing boat approached the Comoros flagged tanker resulting in 2 robbers boarding the vessel. The Master spotted the robbers and reported the incident to the Indian Coast Guard and local Marine Police via Channel 16. A Coast Guard vessel was dispatched to the area where they were able to apprehend the seven remaining perpetrators in the fishing boat. Members of the Indian Coast Guard then boarded the tanker and following a search of the vessel, were able to locate and detain the two robbers who had attempted to hide. All nine perpetrators were later handed to the local Marine Police at the Pipavav station. Nothing was reported stolen from the tanker.

(6) Incident Type : SUSPICIOUS APPROACH | Vessel Type : OFFSHORE SUPPLY VESSEL
2045 UTC | 17 February | Posn: 03-58.05N 008-49.07E | Cameroon

An offshore supply vessel was approached whilst underway 23nm West-southwest of Limbe. A
small boat was detected on the supply vessel's Radar at 2nm, the crew onboard notified their security escort vessel which set a course to intercept the suspicious boat. As the escort vessel came to within 0.5nm of the small boat, the approach was aborted and the perpetrators moved away.
