An attempted robbery has occurred on a tanker whilst anchored in Lagos Anchorage. A duty crew member sighted the robber climbing the anchor chain, who then raised the alarm. This led to the robber escaping in a small craft and it was at this point the incident was reported to the nearby patrol boat.

An anchored support vessel was robbed at Luanda Anchorage, Angola. A duty crew member found the vessel's paint store had been broken into and ship's stores stolen.
