A tanker was approached whilst underway approximately 18nm South southwest of Lagos, Nigeria. The suspicious boat approached the tanker and came to within 0.5nm, the Captain increased speed and changed course. This resulted in the boat aborting her approach.

A House boat was attacked within the Obobo River, Rivers State. Navy personnel, GSA 146 Battalion, responded to the attack. During the crossfire one of the assailants has been killed.
