(1) Incident Type : ROBBERY | Vessel Type : CONTAINER VESSEL
UNKNOWN UTC | 31 December | Posn: 08-42.02S 013-16.00E | Luanda Anchorage, Angola

A container vessel was boarded and robbed whilst at anchor, Luanda anchorage. Whilst performing ISPS security patrol during the morning of the 31st December 2019, 1 crew member noticed that the paint store padlock had been broken, and upon inspection noted that a number of paint boxes had been taken. The assailants are expected to have boarded the vessel on a section of the port side, as this was the only location that had not been layered with barbwire.

2025 UTC | 29 December | Posn: 05-56.00N 002-15.00E | Benin

A container vessel has been approached and chased by two speed boats when sailing inbound, Contonou. When in pursuit, the vessel increased her speed and took anti-piracy measures, this resulted in the speed boats aborting their chase.
