A bulk carrier was approached by 1 skiff whilst in the southern area of the Bab el Mandeb. The skiff approached to the vessel within 2nm. Armed security team onboard sighted 7 people with small weapons on the skiff.

A robbery took place on an anchored tanker within Alpha Anchorage, Tabangao, Batangas. The on watch Able Seaman spotted 2 robbers board the vessel through the hawse pipe. The robbers spotted the alerted crew and escaped taking numerous items of equipment from the Bosun store.
