(1) Incident Type : SUSPICIOUS APPROACH | Vessel Type : TANKER
1148UTC | 05 November | Posn: 01-12.06N 103-34.03E | Singapore

2 speedboats with 6 persons on board approached and attempted to board a tanker whilst underway in the Singapore Straits. They were seen by the duty crew who raised the alarm. The master increased speed and engaged in evasive manoeuvres resulting in the persons aborting their attempt at boarding.

 

(2) Incident Type : PIRACY ATTACK | Vessel Type : TANKER
0215 UTC | 04 November | Posn: 05-58.80N 001-15.25E | Lome Anchorage, Togo

A tanker was attacked by a number of armed men within Lome anchorage area. 4 crew members were
abducted, their nationalities are 1 Georgian, 1 Greek and 2 Filipinos.
