(1) Incident Type : ROBBERY
0959 UTC| 05 October| Posn: 01-18.14N 104-07.03E | Malaysia

A robber managed to board an anchored tanker at Johor anchorage and steal ships stores be fore escaping unnoticed. The theft was discovered by the duty crew on routine rounds and was reported to the Duty Officer.

(2) Incident Type : ATTEMPTED ROBBERY
0210 UTC| 07 October| Posn: 06-27.20N 003-22.40E | Nigeria

An attempted robbery occurred on a tanker whilst discharging cargo in Apapa Port, Lago. Up to 8 armed robbers, approached on 2 small wooden boats and then managed to board the tanker. The crew spotted the robbers and ceased operations, once being spotted the robbers opened fire at the crew whilst escaping. Later on, that night 2 small wooden boats were spotted approaching the tanker again, crew and security guards on the jetty were informed and the robbers escaped. No injuries to the crew were reported.

(3) Incident Type : ROBBERY
2240 UTC| 08 October| Posn: 04-46.00S 011-48.00E| Congo

Thhe Master of an anchored research vessel at Pointe Noire anchorage discovered a robber after hearing a noise at the forward part of the vessel. The Master shouted at the robber resulting in his escape. The alarm was raised and the crew mustered. A boat was observed moving away from the vessel with stolen ships stores.
