(1) Incident Type : ATTEMPTED ROBBERY
0100 UTC| 05 October| Posn: 06-17.20N 003-14.20E | Nigeria

3 robbers managed to board an anchored tanker at Lagos Secure Anchorage Area approximately 7nm offshore. The Duty Officer observed the robbers on the forecastle and raised the alarm resulting in their escape. The incident was reported to the Nigerian Navy and a patrol vessel was tasked to investigate. No ships properties were reported stolen.

(2) Incident Type : GENERAL ALERT
1130 UTC| 08 October| Posn: 04-12.00N 006-25.00E | Nigeria

A fishing trawler was attacked approximately 6nm from the shore, southeast of Brass. Pirates are believed to have been able to board and take control of the trawler. The whereabouts of the trawler is still unknown. Upon further investigation it has now been confirmed that this incident was a false alarm.

(3) Incident Type : ROBBERY
1230 UTC| 03 October| Posn: 21-08.05N 070-07.02E | India

3 robbers managed to board an offshore supply vessel as it was under tow by a tug approximately 3nm off Gopnath Point, heading to Bhavnagar for demolition. The tug Master observed the robbers as they boarded and stole ships stores before escaping. The incident was reported to Vessel Traffic Services, Khambat who then reported to the Indian Coast Guard.
