BAIJI : The IAF (Iraqi Air Force) foiled 2 attacks by the IS (Islamic State) terrorists on Beiji Refinery of northern Tikrit.

SAMARRA : 2 elements from the armed volunteers had been killed and 15 others were injured during the ongoing clashes with IS (Islamic State) militants in south of Tikrit.

KHOST : The deadliest attack, the car bombing, struck Afghan soldiers during an operation targeting the hideout of suspected suicide bombers in the eastern province of Khost. After the assault, a car bomb in the compound exploded, killing 8 soldiers and wounding 5.

HELMAND : The Naad Ali district chief was killed along with his 2 bodyguards and 6 others were wounded in a militant attack in southern Helmand province.
